Probably every Belarusian knows about Lida Castle, Mir Castle and Nesvizh Castle. We would like to devote our today’s article to the little-known palaces of Belarus, which are in no way inferior to the aforementioned sights in their beauty and rich history. The castles of our country are witnesses of a centuries-old history, which is often covered with various legends and secrets.
Castle in Kossovo (Puslovsky Palace)
This palace is one of the most beautiful buildings in Belarus. It is located in the village of Kossovo, Brest region. Now the palace is under reconstruction, as during the Second World War there was a major fire in it. However, tourists can see already several restored premises.
By the way, the whole building contains about 132 rooms. We strongly recommend that you visit this place, because the appearance of the castle in Kossovo will impress everyone.
Novogrudok Castle
Despite the fact that the castle lays now in ruins, it is still one of the most popular places in Belarus. This building is also known as the Mindaugas castle.
It was the most powerful defensive structure, but numerous attacks and sieges caused serious damage to it. Now in Novogrudok, knightly tournaments and various thematic events are held, which are very interesting for tourists.
Palace of Kozell-Poklevsky or Krasny Bereg
Perhaps It is really difficult to describe the beauty of this place. The palace is located in the village of Krasny Bereg, Gomel region. The building was renovated after the war, and now crowds of tourists come here.
They are attracted by the unusual appearance of the building: different styles of architecture are intertwined in it, which are not at all characteristic of our country. The palace, which has no analogues in Belarus, is beautiful on the outside and luxurious on the inside.
Rumyantsev-Paskevich Palace
The Rumyantsev-Paskevich Palace is the hallmark of Gomel. The interior decoration is impressive: many old manuscripts, paintings, impeccable stucco work and much more.
After visiting the museum, we recommend strolling through the amazing park where you can see 200-year-old oaks, feed little squirrels and take picturesque pictures on the banks of the Sozh River.
Grodno. New Castle
New Castle is one of the main attractions of Grodno. The palace was designed in the late Baroque style and built during the reign of King August III. It is interesting that the agreement on the second partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was signed in this castle. Nowadays it is impossible not to visit it, because the chic restored castle on the banks of the Nemunas stands out very much against the background of other buildings. There is an interesting historical and cultural museum inside.
Lyubchansky Castle
Large-scale construction of the castle began in the 16th century, but during the First and Second World Wars, the structure was badly damaged. Now it is the only castle in Belarus, which is being restored exclusively with the money of volunteers. Now two towers are almost completely completed. You can only admire them from the outside. There are also stands where you can get acquainted with the amazing history of the castle.

These places have a special atmosphere of ancient times. In addition, all the castles are located in the most picturesque places of our Motherland.
