We offer you to go with us along the exciting tourist route of the Minsk region, which you can independently change depending on the time of year and your desire. All it takes is to deviate from the route for a few kilometres and the number of tourist attractions will increase sharply. And the road itself from Minsk is very picturesque and no one will find it boring. The total length of the route is about 500 km. Let’s go!

Zaslavl

We leave Minsk along the R28 highway to Molodechno. We stop in Zaslavl and admire the old Church of the Transfiguration of the Saviour, which was rebuilt from a Calvinist cathedral, and the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary built in 1779. We also recommend visiting the Mlyn Ethnographic Museum.

Let’s turn to spillway channels near Zaslavl. An interesting water staircase with thirty steps, along which water is bickering, is located in an almost desolate place, among fields and field woodlands. It was created not at all for beauty, and the scientific word for it is a spillway channel, which is a part of the Vileika-Minsk water system. In the Zaslavl region, the relief is lowering and spillway channels are needed to extinguish the excess water power, and to prevent the flashy flow from eroding the canal bed. A favourite place for lovers of unusual photos.

Then we go to Radoshkovichi. Here the hydro park of the Sosnovy Bor Health Resort is of interest. This picturesque place is ideal for relaxing walks. You can see here a small lake with a beach, several islands, inland canals with waterfalls and hanging bridges underfoot. The hydro park belongs to the health resort, but anyone can take a walk and relax on the beach here.

Radoshkovichi

Further along the highway, you can stop in the village of Pleban, where the Assumption Church is located, which was built as a catholic church and served as a weapons depot during the uprising of 1863-1864. We will drive through the village of Krasnoye, located on the banks of the Usha River. It can impress you with its architectural monuments - the Holy Intercession Church of 1889 in a retrospective Russian style, the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary of 1908-1911 in the neo-Gothic style and a partially preserved water tower from the beginning of the 20th century.

Myade

Let’s visit another town of regional significance - Myadel. Here we will visit the Catholic Church of the Mother of God of the Scapular, the Holy Trinity Church, the Myadel Museum of Folk Glory, admire the lakes Myastro and Rudakovo, and, of course, go to the Myadel Station of the Cross called “Myadel Jerusalem” by locals.

We go further and our route runs along the shore of the largest lake in Belarus - Naroch. We enjoy beautiful views even without leaving the car.

After a few kilometres, we turn left from the R28 highway onto the R45 highway and stop in the village of Konstantinovo, the main attraction of which is the beautiful Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. We drive further and before turning onto the R95 highway we visit Komarovo with its fairly well-preserved Sulistrovsky estate. And if we mention estates, then we will stop by the village of Olshevo to look at the remaining buildings of the Khominsky estate.

Blue Lakes

And finally, Blue Lakes. This is a landscape reserve of republican significance on the border of the Myadel and Postavy districts, created in 1972 to protect a unique natural complex. Steep ravines and hills, a twisting forest river, a light piny wood and lakes with the clearest water – all this is worth going on a long journey! Walk along the ecological trail equipped with rest areas and viewing platforms.

On the way back, you can go through the Vileika reservoir.

As you can see, you will never get bored with this route option, choosing interesting places depending on the season, you can enjoy your journey at any time of the year!
