Would you like to mix your Saturday up? Then you should visit the regional Halshany Castle 2022 Festival, which will take place on August 06. This very picturesque place, near the castle walls, will become, for the eleventh time, the venue of the event, attended annually by many people from throughout the country. Passion, fun, esthetic pleasure – all this is about Halshany.
And what about program?
The festival motto this year is “From the Past to the Present”. And it means, that there will be no time to be bored! The organizers have prepared a diverse program to fit every taste. Besides, there will be all sorts of interactive playgrounds and an amenity area for children during the whole festival time. You will be able to buy art pieces made by Belarusian craftsmen, have a meal in a food court, have your faces painted and much more…
- 4:00 p.m. – a concerto for organ, which will take place at the Church of Saint John the Baptist
- 4:45 p.m. – an impressive theatrical performance
- As early as at 5:00 p.m. – the solemn opening of the regional festival crammed with surprises for our guests
- 10:00 p.m. – a majestic performance of participants of the sensational “X-Factor Belarus” TV-show
- The Halshany Castle program will end with the spectacular “Magic of Fire” show, which will come into your view at 11:00 p.m.
Historical notes:
The Festival is worth visiting not only for the unforgettable experience and awesome atmosphere, but also because of the place itself.
The Halshany Castle is one of the most interesting architectural marvels of Belarus. It was built by the order of Pavel Sapieha at the beginning of the XVII century and resembled greatly the Mir Castle in appearance. The World War I and II left behind only the ruins of the castle that have survived to this day, but even looking at the ruins you can see an interesting architectural idea of that time.

Definitely, there are a lot of places of interest in the Grodno region. We have compiled for you a small list of tourist attractions worth visiting on the way to the Festival.
- On the way to Halshany, you can visit Zalesie. The main reason to visit this place is the M.K. Oginsky memorial estate.
Walk along the picturesque paths of the park, take part in an interesting dramatic tour and immerse yourselves into the atmosphere of the XIX century, and then be sure to drink a cup of coffee in the orchard house. This place inspires, motivates and makes you feel enamoured of it!
- We strongly recommend you to visit the historical place of our homeland, the Krevo settlement.
We all learnt the history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania at school. It was here, within the walls of the castle, that the Union of Krevo was concluded, which marked the union between the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Poland, and the wedding of King Jogaila and the Polish Queen Jadwiga took place here as well. Perhaps, it is not necessary to explain that in the XIII-XIV centuries the city of Krevo was one of the most important centers of the GDL. Now only the ruins of the majestic castle have remained, but even they are impressive in their scale.
