In 1604, the initial parish church was founded in Talachyn by the Grand Chancellor of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Lew Sapieha. However, in 1769, the construction of a stone Uniate church began on its site, which became a symbol of the region's religious heritage.
In 1804, the monastery was dissolved, and the church was transferred to the Orthodox, becoming Protection Church. Today, this historic site attracts tourists with its spiritual legacy and unique architecture, making it an interesting destination for exploration and visitation.
