Buinichskoe field is a place covered with military glory. Here was the front line of the Soviet defense, which managed to slow down the rapid march of German troops in 1941.
The memorial complex "Buinichskoe Pole" was opened on May 9, 1995 with the aim of perpetuating the feat of all defenders of Mogilev during the Great Patriotic War, and in particular, the soldiers of the 388th Infantry Regiment of the 172nd Infantry Division and the Mogilev militias. The authors of the memorial are architects V.V. Chalenko and O.P. Baranovsky. The total area of the memorial is 22 hectares.
