Located at the foot of the Mound of Immortality, Museum of Combat Glory opened its doors in 1971.
Exposition complexes cover in detail the history of Polotsk Fortified District creation, defense of the city in June-July 1941, life of the city during occupation period, underground organizations activities and guerilla movement on Polotsk Land, liberation of Polotsk during Polotsk Frontline Offensive.
Significant part of the exposition is dedicated to Polotsk citizens who became Heroes of the Soviet Union.
Among museum objects there are documents, photos, paraphernalia of the participants of Polotsk defense and liberation, underground and guerilla activists, military weapons of soviet and foreign production.
