The first church in Prazaroki was mentioned as far back as 1523, but the present building was erected in the early 20th century. Located on the western outskirts of the village, it has become an integral part of the historical heritage of this cozy corner. During Soviet period, the church remained open and continues to be a spiritual center for local residents.
Of particular value in the church is the icon of St. Nicholas, which has been attempted to be stolen twice, but each time it returned back to its sacred place. Today, Prazaroki and its beautiful church invite tourists to discover their unique cultural heritage and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of ancient Russian architecture and faith.
This architectural monument captures attention with its elegant composition, including a two-tier bell tower, porch, cuboid rear part, and pentagonal apse with a side annex.
