About the Church

The church was built in 1846 of spruce logs on a brick foundation, and in 1999 it was revived and consecrated.

The church is a cross-shaped building with a cubic central volume, which is adjoined by a rectangular nave and apse. The roof of the central part has the form of a pavilion on an octagonal ‘baraban’ with a dome on the top. The western narthex and apse are covered with gable roofs, giving the church a more interesting appearance.

Above the nave rises a two-tier bell tower with a pavilion and an onion-shaped cupola. The walls are fronted with horizontal panels, the windows are decorated in the semicircular and rectangular style with architraves.

Being The Cultural heritage of Belarus, the St. Nicholas Church is an important symbol of spirituality of Dobrigory village, which preserves its significance for many generations.
