Founded in 1602 by order of Lew Sapieha, it became one of the first Catholic churches in the Polotsk region. Despite facing two fires in its history, the church was reconstructed in a new style by architect Machulievich between 1857 and 1876.
Since 1935, the church had been closed, and the priest arrested, but in the 1990s, it was returned to the faithful. Since then, regular services have been held here, and the church, despite challenging times, continues to attract attention with its unique architecture.
The Church of St. Casimir is a splendid example of a two-towered, three-naved basilica with a transept. Its volumes, beautiful arched windows, and decorated vaults leave unforgettable impressions on every visitor.
