Built between 1841 and 1844 on the site of an ancient church established by the Chancellor of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Lew Sapieha, in 1586, this sanctuary embodies rich cultural heritage and historical significance.
In the early 20th century, the church was reconstructed while preserving its unique architectural integrity. Today, within its walls, two ancient icons are preserved — the "Smolensk Mother of God" from the 18th century and the "Apostles Peter and Paul" from the first half of the 19th century, giving a special sacred charm to the church.
