About the Church

Built of red brick between 1900 and 1908, this majestic church was erected through the efforts of parishioners under the guidance of Father Boleslav Korn, whose initials are immortalized on the bricks composing its walls.

The main facade is distinguished by two multi-tiered towers, between which and above the apse roof are figured shields. The splendid interior of the church once delighted guests with 13 gypsum reliefs depicting scenes of Christ's suffering, created in 1927 in Warsaw.

The Church of Saint Virgin Mary

In the early 1960s, the catholic church was closed and turned into a warehouse for the local distillery, where tractors and machines replaced prayers. However, in 1989, thanks to the efforts of the faithful, the church was returned to the parish. Through careful restoration and reconstruction, the catholic church once again opened its doors to parishioners and guests.
