This monument to baroque architecture is an important historical landmark that belonged to the Polotsk Epiphany Monastery at the time. Every May, processions with the monastery icon of the Iviron Theotokos were held from the monastery.
The Church of St. Nicholas is topped with an octagonal wooden drum with a dome, giving it a unique appearance. In the 1920s, during the period of atheism, the church was closed and the building was used as a dormitory for flax mill workers. In the 1990s, the process of revival began, and today efforts are actively underway to restore this historical sanctuary.
