About the Church

In the late 19th century, the church underwent reconstruction; however, its bell tower, adorning the surroundings and reminding of the rich history of this place, has survived to this day. In documents from the second half of the 18th century, the Kavali parish is noted as Uniate, but after the events associated with the liquidation of the church union, the church was transferred to the Orthodox clergy.

Today, the Church of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kavali is not only an architectural monument of historical significance but also a place where you can feel the spirit of ancient times and immerse yourself in their mysterious atmosphere.
