Originally there was a wooden church in this place, consecrated in 1683 by Vilna bishop Felix Taviansky.
The church, built in 1769-1773 of brick at the two-storey Dominican monastery, is a monument of architecture of the transitional period from Baroque to Classicism. However, the monastery has not survived to the present day.
The church was destroyed by fire in 1890, but since 1919 it has been functioning again.
After being closed during the Great Patriotic War (the Eastern Front of World war II), the church was returned to Catholics only in the late 1980s in a damaged state and was restored in the early 1990s.
The Church of the Holy Trinity in the village of Dunilavichy impresses with its size and attractive form.It is the only church in Belarus with a two-tier altar, which makes the church unique.
Next to the church there is a plebania, built in the late 19th century, which served as a dwelling for the priest and the parish administration. In front of the church there is a small garden, and opposite there is a memorial dedicated to Polish soldiers. These factors make the Church of the Holy Trinity in Dunilavichy appealing to tourists. It is a significant architectural monument of the 18th century, which has historical and cultural value and interest for visitors in Belarus.
