About the Church

Having experienced a period of decline in the mid-19th century, the church was repaired in 1859 at the initiative of Father Jan Shirin, which allowed it to preserve its appearance. However, in the 1950s, the church was closed, and its towers were dismantled. The building was first converted into a warehouse, and then into a sports hall.

In 1990, thanks to the generosity of the faithful, the church was restored, and in May of the same year, it was consecrated by Bishop Edward Cullen from Bialystok in the presence of bishops Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz and Edward Ozarowski. Today, the church continues its activities.

Inside the catholic church, you can see three silver crowns in the main altar, as well as icons of the Mother of God "Joy of all who Sorrow" and Saint Anthony in the side altars. The church is surrounded by a cemetery, which gives it a special atmosphere of peace and tranquility.
