The Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist in the village of Gruzdava is an example of architectural heritage recreated in the spirit of retrospective Russian style.
About the Church
Built at the cusp of the 19th and 20th centuries, the church draws attention with its rectangular outline and three-tiered bell tower, topped with an onion dome. The architectural appearance of the church recreates a harmonious combination of polychrome rubble masonry and plastered decorative elements.
Restored in 1996-1997, this historical monument has become an integral part of the cultural heritage of the Pastavy district.
