Built in 1900-1901, the Church of the Transfiguration in Yazno has become the subject of legends. One of the stories tells that at night during the construction of the temple robbers tried to steal valuable tools, but suddenly stopped and were paralysed, holding on to other people's belongings until the builders arrived in the morning.
Preserving its function even during the period of persecution, the Church of the Transfiguration became a symbol of steadfastness and faith. This temple attracts attention with its beautiful decor and unique icons (‘Virgin Hodegetria’ (XVIII), ‘Mother of God Hodegetria’ (XVI-XVII), ‘Resurrection of Jesus’ (XIX), ‘The Salvation’ (XVIII), ‘Saint Nicholas’ (second half of XVIII century), ‘Gabriel’ and ‘Michael’ (the turn of XVIII-XIX centuries) and others), preserved inside.
