The Church of the Transfiguration of the Jesus, erected in the 18th century, began its history as a Catholic church, serving as a sanctuary for believers.
About the Church
In 1866, the Catholic church became a holy place for Orthodox parishioners. Designed in the strict classical style inherent in European architecture of that time, its architect, local landowner Joseph Korsak, left his mark, embodying aesthetics and the spirit of the era in stone.
During the Soviet period, the church was closed, but thanks to the efforts and devotion of the faithful, services resumed in 1992.
Today, it is not only a place of worship but also a significant historical heritage site, attracting tourists with its unique architecture and rich history.
