In February 2006, the Panteleimonovsky Skete was opened in Braslav as part of the Convent of Saint Euphrosyne. Later, in December 2007, it became the Nunnery of Saint Pantaleon by decision of the Holy Synod of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.
About the Church
Its sanctuaries house the icon of St. Great Martyr Pantaleon with a particle of his relics — a gift from the Holy Monastery of Agiou Panteleimonos — and the renewed icon «Our Lady of Kazan", known as a protector of women.
The convent is located in a building that is an architectural monument of the early 20th century. Previously, it was a wing of a clinic built in 1906 with the participation of one of Braslaw's prominent residents — Dr. Stanislav Narbut.
Currently, the monastery is home to 5 nuns, with the prioress being Mother Superior Nika (Burak).
