About natural reserve

The Reserve is a large compact area of mainly middle-aged and young coniferous and small-leaved forests in the floodplains of the Berezina, Vydritsa and Ola rivers. The natural conditions on the territory of the Reserve are diverse. There are areas of flat-waved moraine and aqua-glacial plains. In the broad valleys of the Ola and the Vydritsa there are areas of flat lake-glacial lowlands with lowland swamps; floodplain terraces. There are clearly defined ancient runoff troughs and some extensive hollows where groundwater comes close to the surface. In the floodplain there are channel banks and ridges. The territories in the floodplains and adjacent to them are flooded for 1-1.5 months in spring.
