This is the place where:

  • more than 190 bird species have been recorded, 52 of which are listed in the Red Book of Belarus;
  • a significant part of the European heron and bittern population nest;
  • there are a number of unique plant species, previously unknown for the Pripyat region;
  • swampy forests and shrubs are the main places of the region for moose and wild boar.

Only here:

  • there are the largest areas of natural landscapes;
  • there are the biggest reproduction centers in Belarus for beavers, otters, water voles, and forest ferrets;
  • for the first time in Belarus was found Balon's ruffe.
