A horse-drawn sleigh ride is perhaps the most authentic winter entertainment. Many farmsteads offer quad bike and snowmobile rides for adventure travellers, and after an active day, it’s nice to spend the evening in a hot Russian wood-fired steam bath and dive into an ice hole in a pond.
Here are a few options of agro-eco-homesteads, which are located in places with unique nature and all the possibilities for winter recreation.
Koni-Poni Farmstead. 42nd km of the M7/M6 highway, Mikhalovo village, Volozhin district, Minsk region.
Butsevichi Horse Farm. Butsevichi village, Minsk district, Minsk region.
Yodishki Agro-Eco-Homestead. Yodishki settlement, Braslav district, Vitebsk region.
Akolitsa Farmstead. 1 Okolitsa village, Minsk district. Sports complexes are within easy reach. This is a great option for winter outdoor enthusiasts.
This option is suitable for extreme sports enthusiasts. Kitesurfing and windsurfing are good in winter only in windy weather.
Going in for kitesurfing requires the same equipment as the similar summer sport, while windsurfing uses sails attached to a ski or skate structure. Training is held on the ice-covered Minsk Sea under the supervision of professional instructors of the Extreme windsurfing club, which is located at the following address: Minsk Sea, Zaslavl, Minsk district, Minsk region.
Raubichi, Silichi, Logoisk and Solnechnaya Dolina ski resorts provide a variety of equipment from ordinary skis, snowboards and tubing to snowmobiles and skates.
Feel free to go to conquer the snowy slopes on skis or snowboard, regardless of whether you are a beginner or an experienced athlete. There are high-speed tracks of different difficulty levels and for any level of training. Also, each resort has a ski school, if you cannot ski yet, but really want to feel adventurous, you can use the services of experienced instructors. They will help you learn to ski as quickly and safely as possible.
There is such beauty on the banks of small rivers under bending trees! Until the river has been ice-bound, you can enjoy the winter views of the Isloch river. And after an incredible rafting, you will have a hot lunch at the farmstead on the river bank and a guided walk along the eco-trail. All this is arranged by the team of the Pokhod v Narod company - ecological and cultural tourism in Belarus. You can easily find them on Instagram, where you can also submit a request to participate in winter rafting.
Unusual, isn’t it? Winter is absolutely not a tourist season for swamp tours until the snow falls in a thick layer. Now you can set off on a journey and go to the Yelnya swamp. What for? To go skiing or snowshoeing through the swamp, to see the unique beauty of winter, to go to places where you can’t get through in summer.
And also do not forget that the most magical night of the year is coming soon and the preparation of gifts for all your relatives and friends will require the same level of activity from you. And if you have not yet decided what to present, be aware that the best and most sincere gift is a gift made by yourself.
Spend your weekend actively, get impressed, learn new things, discover unfamiliar places, and make friends!
