The Big Bard Fishing festival invites to enjoy live music of various genres in the lap of nature. The open-air festival will take place from July 26 to 28.
The project originated in 2010 and has become an international event. It is difficult to find other analogues of this festival. “Big Bard Fishing” attracts not only Belarusians: during its existence, the festival has been attended by guests from Russia, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Italy and other countries. The secret of popularity is simple: the holiday combines outdoor activities and creativity.
The festival took place on the banks of Chigirinka reservoir near Chechevichi village, Bykhov district. This picturesque corner will host seven thematic venues this year. Guests can stay in a forest camp or in nearby estates and recreation centers.
The festival stage will feature the “Romantika” quartet from Novosibirsk, the rock band “Glin-TVane” from Gomel, one of the most famous Russian bards Roman Lankin and the legend of Grushinsky festival Andrei Kozlovsky from Moscow, and many other invited performers.
Traditionally, the central event of the festival will be the original song and poetry competition “Your Circle”. It gives budding creators the opportunity to develop their talents and reveals a lot of new names to the public. The Grand Prix winner will receive the “Big Bard Fishing” cup and the right to record a song in a professional studio.
This year, bright projects are planned for significant dates. On the first day, the concert “Your Honor, Lady Luck...” will take place on the main stage, dedicated to the centenary of Bulat Okudzhava. And on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, “A Little Orchestra of Hope” will be performed. The photo exhibition “Obelisks of the Great Feat” will be arranged jointly with the publishing house “Belarus Today”. This exhibition will tell you about the military past.
The guests will face not only musical events. The main stage will host a poetry evening “The Magic of Words” with the participation of Mikhail Iverov, Valery Balakirev, Irina Karenina, Alexey Vitakov and Ales Kazeko. The organizers also planned an open beach volleyball tournament, fishing competitions, competitions for the best fish soup and other fish dishes. By the way, Chigirinka Reservoir often pleases tourists with a rich catch. At the last festival, we managed to set a record: during the competition, a catfish weighing 27 kilograms was caught.
In addition, the culinary festival “Fair of Taste” invites you to enjoy unusual dishes and learn new recipes. And the most creative and graceful participants of the festival will be determined at the “Queen of Bard Fishing” competition.
