"Apothecary Garden"

The Narochansky National Park never fails to amaze with interesting facilities located on its territory. A striking example is the extraordinary park group "Apothecary Garden". This excursion and educational complex, the only one of its kind in Belarus, was built 10 years ago. It was created on the basis of the invaluable experience of medieval monasteries of Europe.

The uniqueness of the garden lies in the rarest and imported plants, which are kept in the most ecologically clean corner of the country. On the territory you can meet animals and birds, fruit and exotic trees. The most interesting specimens are sakura and black alder. And from the herbs collected in the garden, they create and sell signature collections, numbering 12 species, as well as the tea series "Kali Laska".

In the very center of the park, there is a fountain, from which paths-beams diverge in different directions. It is surrounded by several types of plants that have a number of healing and even, as believed in ancient times, magical properties.

“Apothecary Garden” is divided into 5 large stations, which are easy to find thanks to large wooden signs: “Green Labyrinth”, “Healing Pantry”, “Ice Age”, “Apothecary Backyard” and “Sleepy Kingdom”.

"Green Labyrinth" is created in the best traditions of English park hedges. And in  "Healing Pantry" beetroot and blueberry, sunflower and sage are located side by side, as if the garden and backyard are intertwined into one. "Ice Age" will show millstones created from granite of the Ice Age, and plants that came from the pre-glacial era. And "Apothecary Garden" have collected famous and rare medicinal plants. "Sleepy Kingdom" offers to shake off fatigue and recharge with positive emotions on a herbal bed.  

There are also interesting and educational locations on the territory. For example, in "Grandma-Herbalist's Hut" you can learn about the healing properties of herbs, take pictures in herbalist costumes and even participate in a magical family ritual. The phyto-lounge offers relaxation and unusual herbal teas with intriguing names. And in the phyto-store you can buy useful souvenirs and delicious garden products.
