The city's long and rich history has left descendants traces of ancient events and interesting artifacts. The historical treasures of Turov are collected in the local history museum, where you can see old books, tools, household items found during excavations. The historical complex Ancient Turov, which forms part of the museum, stands on Castle Hill on the site of a destroyed Christian cathedral. According to historians, the church was built in the middle of the 12th century, but the monumental structure did not withstand the destructive earthquake that occurred in the early 13th century. The ruins of the temple, found during the excavation of the settlement, suggest that it was the largest religious building in the western lands of Ancient Rus.
