It is believed that the first samples of cheese appeared 7 thousand years ago. However, the classic production of cheeses on a small industrial scale began only in the 19th century. In 1859, the Brokhotsky landowners established the production of rennet cheese. For more than 100 years, it was the standard of cheese produced in Belarus.

Every September, Grodno becomes the "cheese capital", inviting everyone to take part in the large-scale "Cheese Festival" celebration. A rich entertainment program and the invariable tasting of various types of cheese. More than 90 samples from all corners of the country are presented to the tasting jury annually.

It was the only sweet in the diet, and so people perfected the procurement of this valuable product without harming wild bees. This is how beekeeping appeared - an ancient craft protected by UNESCO.

In at. Simonichi, the traditions of a unique craft are carefully preserved. Here, the sweet festival "Honey Manor" is held annually. Guests are introduced to honey products and master classes are held on making beehives for wild bees.

If bread is the head of everything, then perhaps a bun is the soul. This is what they say about a sweet bakery product that became popular thanks to the festival "Father's bun". The regional holiday quickly became popular and reached the national level. The best bakers of the country demonstrate their professionalism and skill, and this year they even set a new record - they baked the largest braid weighing 35 kg.

And now the Palace of Independence is adorned with a huge 5-layer loaf of bread created by participants of the "Father's bun" festival. Each layer is decorated with baked goods in the form of vegetables and fruits, cornflowers and wheat ears.

Can you imagine that cucumbers were first grown in our country about 5 centuries ago? This city is famous for its most delicious and crispy cucumbers.
