Today we will tell about the holy springs of Belarus. Some of them are well-known and loved by tourists, and some you may hear about for the first time. Nevertheless, each spring has healing properties.
v. Vezhnoe, Kamenets district
The spring gushed forth as if it were a gift for the 200th anniversary of the St. Nicholas Church, built in 1781. Not far from the church, a bypass canal was being dug. And suddenly, from under the bulldozer bucket, several powerful fountains three meters high shot up into the sky. Over time, the fountains' power weakened, and they turned into springs.
The water is considered to be healing, it provides relief from various illnesses. A chapel and a font were built over the concrete rings surrounding the spring. The consecration of the spring was carried out in council.
v. Tumin, Kamenets district
The water in the spring has long been considered healing. The spring is located around deposits of blue clay. Consecration in honor of the holy great martyr and healer Panteleimon took place in 2004. A chapel was erected above the spring.
v. Zaprudy, Kobrin district
The spring was first used at the beginning of the 20th century. Local residents claim that the water from the spring has healing properties. Recent studies of water samples have shown the presence of silver in it.
In 2005, a wooden chapel was built here, consecrated in honor of the Epiphany of the Lord. A mass celebration takes place on January 19, on Epiphany.
Vitebsk
The spring is located near the Church of the Holy Martyr Thaddeus. According to parishioners of the temple and other visitors, the spring provides healing from various ailments. Many notice that the water helps with leg diseases.
v. Krasnoluchka, Lepel district
According to legend, the spring's waters cured a local resident's daughter of blindness. In gratitude, he built a wooden church in honor of the Holy Mother of God on the holy springs. The church housed a miraculous icon of the Mother of God. After some time, the church burned down, but the icon of the Mother of God was found undamaged in the fire. Believers built an open chapel on the ashes and installed the holy icon in it. Water from three springs flowed directly to the chapel. The chapel with the miraculous icon was burned in the 1960s, and the icon disappeared. Pilgrimages to the spring have resumed. Believers claim that the water helps with heart disease.
v. Luzhesno, Vitebsk district
The spring is located near the Church of the Ascension of Christ and is loved and revered by Vitebsk residents and residents of the surrounding area. Water from the spring alleviates the course of various diseases.
Gomel
In pre-war times, there were several springs at the site of the spring. In the 1960s, local residents improved the place, and in the 2000s, the spring was consecrated. It is believed that the water from the spring relieves fatigue, gives strength and cures liver diseases.

They say that the water of the spring gives strength and corrects thoughts in the right direction, cures infertility. And not far away there is another spring - the spring of Matrona of Moscow. The most famous holy springs in Belarus are located here. One of them is located in the Holy Dormition Monastery. According to church tradition, the spring gushed from under a wild pear tree, on which an icon of the Mother of God appeared in 1470. Soon a church was built here. Under the altar, there was a well where the spring originated. The Soviet authorities tried to fill it in. However, the spring still came out. Two kilometers from the monastery there is another spring equipped with a font. The blessed water from Zhirovichi springs is considered healing. Through prayers, believers receive healing, are strengthened spiritually and physically.

According to legend, the Mother of God appeared to a local resident who was blind in a dream and told him to go to the outskirts of the settlement. Having lost his way in the forest, the man came across a spring. After he drank the water and washed his face, his sight returned. The spring attracts pilgrims and travelers, as it can cure eye diseases.
Logoisk
It has been known since ancient times. It originates in the lowland of a hill, flowing out from under the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, built 140 years ago. People suffering from various diseases come to the spring, rich in minerals. It especially helps with spiritual ailments, as well as leg diseases. There were stories of women who could not have children for a long time, bathing in the spring, then becoming pregnant.
v. Kukelevshchina, Minsk district
"Holy Springs" is a natural monument of national significance. Various documents contain information about the use of spring water since the Middle Ages for the treatment of various diseases.
v. Kliny, Slavgorod district
The spring is located 300 m from the village, on a high place in the middle of a field. Here a powerful underground river comes to the surface and forms a lake. The water, which resembles boiling water on the surface, contains many silver ions and is considered healing. The Blue Well is a natural monument of national significance.
v. Prudok, Krichev district
Old-timers tell a legend about a church that stood on that site, which sank underground during a service. A spring with healing water formed in the hole, which cures ailments and gives confidence in undertakings. This spring is mentioned in the paper work by A. Meer "Description of Krichev County" in 1786. Since then, it has been widely revered by both local residents and pilgrims.
v. Kokhanovka, Osipovichi district
As the legend goes, two travelers, being blind, drank water from the spring, washed with it and regained their sight. And on a tree near the spring they saw a miraculously appeared icon of the Holy Mother of God. The word "prosch" itself, which is derived from the word "forgive" – прощать in Russian, is evidence of the miraculous power of the water of the holy spring. In Belarus, proschas were places where people gathered with prayers for the forgiveness of sins, for healing from childlessness, for easy childbirth and healthy children. Hundreds and thousands of pilgrims from all corners of Belarus and from abroad testify that the water from this spring really has healing power.
Microdistrict Vesnyanka
The spring, which originally flowed from under the altar of the church, has healing properties. They say that the water from the spring heals wounds and helps to find happiness in personal life. But it is especially useful for eye diseases. Nowadays, the Krupetsky spring is part of the complex of the Holy Protection Church in Minsk.
v. Lipovaya Koloda, Minsk district
16 km from Minsk, there is a miraculous Belarusian shrine: a stone with a footprint and the holy spring of the Holy Mother of God. They say that the footprint stone was brought from Siberia by Old Believers. Water from the spring cures infertility and also cures various ailments and tumors.
