In Belarus, European bisons are protected, so it is only permitted to hunt them once and from the reserve gene pool, as well as individuals that do not represent breeding value: old, wounded or sick.

Hunting for the animal is permitted in the spring-autumn period (from 15.05 to 30.09). It is also permitted from October to the end of December, but with restrictions - during the daytime, with dogs or a drive. In the summer, animals can be found alone. In autumn or winter, they gather in herds.
The elk's greatest pride is their antlers. It is one of the largest forest inhabitants, and is a desirable trophy animal for hunters.
The hunting season for it is permitted from August 20 to December 31.
It will be difficult for a beginner to go on such a hunt: it is important to take into account properly selected outfit, an understanding of the animal’s behavior and many other nuances.
Of the existing types of hunting, the most interesting is called elk hunting "on a moan". The name is explained by the characteristic sounds of the male, similar to a moan, which it makes during the mating season. This hunt leaves behind a lot of impressions.
The wild boar is a well-known trophy animal for hunters. It lives throughout the country in swampy areas and mixed forests.
Hunting for a wild boar is not suitable for a beginner: the animal is very strong, cautious and dangerous for humans (especially a wounded boar) - experience and good preparation are required.
