Bolshoi Theatre in Minsk. The only opera and ballet theatre in Belarus is rightly titled “Bolshoi” and “Academic”. The round white building of the theatre in the centre of Minsk was erected in 1936 according to the design of Iosif Langbard, an outstanding Soviet constructivist architect. A German air bomb partially destroyed it, the ruins served as a stable for the occupiers. After the war, everything was rebuilt, the auditorium was supplemented with two tiers, and a beautiful park with a fountain and sculptures was laid out around. Today the Opera and Ballet Theatre is a cultural centre actively and intentionally developing the art of dancing and singing. The theatre troupe throughout the years of the theatre existence holds the bar high enchanting its audience.

Nesvizh Castle. The most beautiful palace and park ensemble included in the UNESCO World Heritage List – the luxurious residence of the Radziwills – is located just two hours away from Minsk.
Shady alleys, ornamental lakes, and, undoubtedly, the luxury of the ballrooms, their history, and the power of the castle combining different styles, attract many tourists to Nesvizh.

Soutine Museum in Smilovichi. An event, the cultural significance of which is difficult to overestimate, took place at the Children’s Activity Centre in the town of Smilovichi in 2008. An exposition dedicated to our fellow countryman, a native of the town of Smilovichi, one of the most famous painters of the Paris School Chaim Soutine, was opened. It was called “L’Espace de Soutine”.
The L’Espace de Soutine Museum occupies three halls, each of which has unique exhibits and is dedicated to a specific topic. Also, the museum possesses pictorial reproductions of paintings by Marc Chagall, Mikhail Kikoin, Osip Zadkine, Pinkhus Kremen, Oscar Meshchaninov, Amedeo Modigliani and other friends of the painter.

Sula Park-Museum of Interactive History. The first park-museum in Belarus is located on the shores of a picturesque lake just 49 km away from Minsk, housing many interactive playgrounds and open-air facilities: an ancient encampment, a Viking village, a watchtower with a forge, a site of pre-Christian beliefs, a hall-museum of the gentry glory, a brovar-distillery and much more. You have a unique opportunity to make the journey “from the Varangians to the Greeks” on a dragon ship, get acquainted with the customs and traditions of our ancestors, and try starka (aged vodka).

Gutten-Chapsky Estate in the village of Stankovo. The once charming estate, founded by Count Gutten-Chapsky in 1880 in the Romanesque medieval style, was destroyed during World War II. But the peculiar atmosphere of this place has been preserved, which attracts tourists.
The authentic entrance gate, treasury, forge, servants’ house, and kitchen outbuilding with an underground passage, water tower, barn and tomb have also been preserved. The old park, which paths, roads, bridges, and canals are so beautiful during the golden autumn, is amazing with its beauty. You can see the St. Nicholas Church of the XIX century from the summerhouse on the shore of the pond.
