  1. Some say that the name “Maladzyechna” is derived from the word “молодец” (a brave man). That's what the soldiers of the prince's armed force were called in Ancient Rus.Others say that the town got its name from the local little river — Maladzyechanka.
  2. It's true that the town of Maladzyechna has a rich history. The town was first mentioned in the Charter of 1388.
  3. Once, Lew Sapieha bought the Maladzyechna lands. And then Michal Oginski became the owner of the lands!

Tsentranaya Square

You can’t walk on by, not paying any attention to the heart of the city. There is a fountain decorated with sculptures on Tsentranaya Square. And the lovers of photography like it a lot.

Pedestrian Prytytskaga Street

The locals call this street "Broadway". This central street connects the railway station and Tsentranaya Square. It has long been one of the locals' favorite places to hang out. There you can visit different shops or have a tasty meal in a cafe or pizza restaurant.

The one-story station building was built in 1907 and it has survived to this day. It is of interest to note that in 1915, the train of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian army Emperor Nicholas II arrived there. He awarded the soldiers for the liberation of Vileyka and Maladzyechna.

Stalag-342 Memorial Complex

This memorial complex is dedicated to the victims of a concentration camp that once existed there. The Nazis brought there people they didn't like. In total, more than 30 thousand soldiers and civilians were killed in the Stalag-342 camp.

  • Minsk Regional Puppet Theatre Batleyka is always happy to welcome new visitors. The theatre is guided by the traditions of ancient Belarusian art. And its repertoire is formed accordingly. During more than 30 years of work, the theatre has staged about 40 productions.
  • Minsk Regional Local History Museum was founded in 1959. Nowadays the museum hosts excursions and lectures. Visiting the museum you will dive into the history of the Minsk region: from ancient times to the present day.
  •  If you like riding water slides or swimming in a pool, we suggest you visit the Maladzyechna Water Park.
  • Another great entertainment facility is the Radzima Cinema, which is located right on the pedestrian Prytytskaga street.
